What good is love
That feels so strong
If all your told
Is that it’s wrong

What good is love
Deep in your soul
When that love
Cannot be told

What good is love
Kept in a cage
It drives you nuts
It causes rage

What good is love
So warm and so true
When what you need
Is kept from you

I do not know the answer to
These questions that I’m asking you
I only know a love so true
Should not be locked away

I ask that you
Assist me to
Find a way
To see this through

It hurts me so
To know your mine
Yet that I cannot
Have you

I’m living now on borrowed time
The time that you will give me
And if this feeling hurts you
I hope that you forgive me

I want only to love you
The best that I can
No hidden moments
Just Love

James is right I have been there too. For whatever reason it doesn't work out, it's so sad and hurtfilled. Honey (HUGS) for understanding, but don't give up. There are others to love. Your life isn't loveless you know, family, friends, etc you still have some love in your life.
As for helping you through this, you don't even have to ask me hon. I'm hear to read your poems or you can email me. I care, and I'm here.. (HUGS)

Thank you James and Isis.
I wrote this during a very tough time and it has since worked itself out. I liked it because it captured the feeling I had at the time and only the person I wrote it to had ever read it. Thought it might bbe enjoyable to someone who writes or at least likes to read poetry.
