The fragile wind sets sail..deliverance in its wake
the trees wave as it passes..the wheat bows in respect
the sun reflected in its joy...the heart diminished....
then fell away

The wasp grasped the perch from which it stood..
determined not to move..
the gull remained though...flapping its wings..giliding
or something to prove

The sand jostled for position....the waves..
helped their cause..
the woman..she stood beside herself...reflecting
a time of pause

Her hair flowing..gusting like a flag..
her face turned towards the wind...
still unsure of all her thoughts...
she lowers the gun down...from her head

Death is not so far away..his face is not so cold..
it's essence..immoratilty...but what if..
i change my mind?

Peace of mind....free of sin....from woman
to take my leave
peace and contempmant...but what if I
wish to come again?

Everyday  struggle...dispair in my wake..
the gyspies screaming in my mind
the woman who lives in the mirror
looks at me in disgust.....she even shakes her head

...and are we all that woman with those very same thoughts at some time or another...
I know I have been.
I think this is extremely well written and thought out...thank you for a wonderful read.
Welcome and I will be awaiting more...

Thank you for the feedback.  Just a feeling today, ya know.

and the only way we are able to fly..

The fourth section and last line are so genuine. I so enjoy our freedom in poetry to feel things aloud that we would not tell even our closest friend about. Beautiful.

I so enjoyed the fluid motion of this piece...very power-filled.

I have no soothing words to say except I am here to listen.  I hope that is enough.  Welcome to the family again my friend.
