When I woke up this morning,
I missed the tiny rays of sunlight
that had always welcomed me
into the new day

This was no surprise to me,
somehow I felt you leave me
Out of the room you crept,
like a theif making off with his loot

My heart sank
as my soul watched you go
I didn't beg, threaten, or plead,
though I would move a mountain
to keep you here with me

But just as fate brought us together,
it's tearing us apart
But it's better this way,
my love,
for we weren't meant to be

I hate it when things go this way...  There are two men who weren't meant to be in my life.  My advice treasure the good memories. ((HUGS))

I think we all have one or more of those. I met a man who was from Wales(UK). He swept me off my feet and we had a fleeting 3 week romance. And he had to go back. Long inbetween story. I didn't hear from him for a year. Now he's back in the states for a while. Got a hold of me and we got together to talk. Let's just say, he's full of regrets now. And honestly I wish it would have worked out differently. But, like you said, it's one of those things that just wasn't meant to be. So anyway, well done DE. OOPS Maharet. This sure was one for reminscing.(did i spell that right, prob'ly not).

Maharat I thought about a relationship that has been officially over for one year now but actually it was over way before then.  I only needed to accept my fate.  For just as surely as it brought us together it eventually would tear us apart.   And this was a five year relationship.    James
