I lay down and rest my head on the soft pillows of my bed After I take a few deep sighs, I slowly close my heavy set eyes The room twists and turns while my heart slowly burns I open my eyes to avoid this place, but this, I fear, will not solve the case While falling towards my own defeat, I realize there's no demon I cannot beat But what if the demon exists only in me, some sufficating force I cannot see I can push him out, this I know! A very good read - when our eyes are shut - that is when we confront what is inside us, in complete darkness.... most enjoyable read and nice job of rhyming.. |
