We have so much pain in this world,
We have so much pain in our everyday life,
Why create any more than is necessary,
It isn't destiny, for we are in control of this life.

Pride, so often a downfall,
We must learn to overcome these doubts,
To be content with who and what we are,
Otherwise you could miss out.

Miss out on new friendships,
Someone so special in your life,
A soulsister or kindred spirit,
Someone there to ease one's strife.

Holding on to a wrong,
There is nothing to gain,
Only something to lose,
Only a chance of more pain.

Forgive and forget,
Get on with your life and happiness,
Embrace those who care for you,
So you'll never be alone.

Fill your life with love and forgiveness,
Fill your life with friends and love,
Fill your world with beauty and nature,
And your life will be filled with blessings from above.

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.

Great advice here Isis...I think we could all use this. Unfortunately many are far too dedicated to being the victim. But hopefully they'll come around.

Wonderful reminder Isis. . . we all have to stop and smell the roses or we might miss something very important. . . and special.

Beautiful words as always. . .

Hi Isis,
I liked this poem.  You are looking at this very clearly and unfortuately the problems we face are sometimes coming from another source.  A person that see's life from a much different perspective than us.  I am in agreement that we need to embrace those who care for us to make our lives enjoyable.    James

The mind is very often the worst enemy of one who feels as though they are out of refuge. It plays tricks on us telling us that this is the way it's supposed to be. We are supposed to be alone. We are supposed to feel dead and depressed. Maybe we just need to die. That this is what our fate is. But in actuality none of this is true. Our fate or our lives are what we say they are. If you say it's hopeless then it truly is. Of course some of us are so bent on excuses that this is a hard thing to realize. Took me a long time too. This was a beautiful reminder and definately advice to be taken.
We need more people like you Isis to help us realize the nature of light.
