We met some time ago now just strangers with a feeling never sure just quite how or what our hands were dealing I never knew what you felt your pain and hurt inside I never saw your heart melt until to me you cried It slowly started growing from "What's up" to warm hello's from out to insides showing your face against my nose Smiles, laughter, happiness each minute spent together close friends besides, and nothing less the kind the last forever You told me how I touched your heart like none other ever could you said we'd never drift apart I stayed, you said I should You opened up and let me in told me how good it feels your trust, the first to ever win and never felt so real We held each other so many times when dealing with painful trials we cried and hugged and shared our minds when bad just continued to pile We got through all, together we fought Like best friends we seemed to grow we have the best, what cant be taught our love continues to show Then one day bad happened to you you came to me crying and told me all I held to comfort and cried with you for some reason you thought we'd lose all Now your lost, cant even find yourself scared, crying, changing, shaking everything feels gone, you're not yourself we're so far apart and both of us aching I miss you so much, I cant explain your smile, your voice, your touch each time we now meet, tears flow like rain why does it hurt so damn much? What happened inside you? You're so far away it hurts me so bad to see this all be you're scared and confused, and pulling away please dont do this girl, it's only me You dont want me to hurt like you... that's why you are doing this? well I'm hurting without you I'm here for you through all this I care for you and think of you much the pain just wont seem to supress I just want to hold you and feel your touch this hurt goes straight through I confess. Geesh, your heart is pouring out all over this....what a beautifully painful piece! It's been awhile since I've read something this heartfelt....I would like to see more from you. You don't post as much as you used to, unless I've grown blind. She is very lucky to have someone like you there to hold her....be patient, I hope all turns out okay.... ** I'm reaching for the brightest star I've ever seen - knock my ladder out from under me, and you'll wish you hadn't !! -pFF ** Here's to 2000! |

Thank you both very much for your replies... I am very appreciative to have your support while in my present state of mind. I havent posted at all lately because this situation completely overtakes my mind every waking minute lately, all I can think of is this. Have'nt been able to come up with much else to write about, so 'till then... I guess just more of this. Again, thank you both  {{{{{HUGS}}}}} |

This poem reminds me of at least two situations in my life when I gave myself to another in situations they had been going thru for a long period of time. I felt like I was totally there for them to offer my love and support and in the end I found that they didn't appreciate me standing with them. They had been deeply hurt by another and I stood with them and they hurt me when I started to care for them. James |
