for christopher,

you were only here for such a short time,
a gift that was treasured dear.
then your life was taken away,
i hold your memory near.
to see the smile upon your face,
brought a smile to mine.
to see the sunshine everyday,
gives me peace of mind.
i know you ride the clouds on high,
with your precious little wings.
forever looking after me,
with the angels as they sing.
someday we'll be together,
to walk the streets of gold.
to make up the time we lost,
i'll again have you to hold.

mo.

i haven't experienced the loss of someone very close to me yet. But the feelings and emotions expressed here convey well what it must be like. You have my deepest sympathy. Thank you for sharing.

Heartwrenching, mojar.  Beautiful poem, but very sad.  My heart to you.

Well a title such as this is sure to guarentee my reply!
And a poignant tale you tell well!

i would like to thank you all for your heartfelt comments, this loss was not mine directly, a very good friend that lost her nephew to child abuse, but we all feel the loss, again i thank you from my heart.  mo
