I was here yesterday
When all i was
And all i am
Was all i ever need to be

But now i am not he
Of the world
I used to be
I find myself obsolete

Do you ever look out
At the sea like you
unchanging of your time
Now look at lifes crime

Mirrored in my eyes
A past I cannot recognise
A glitz i missed
my life a glitch

My memories of life
My heart is lost
In my deep strife
look at me i am forgot

The obsolete are left to rot
On the heap of junk yards cot
I am left now gone away
To be remembered, maybe, one day

Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace,
of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd

To to be remembered hopefuly, Walter Poe,
For the poetry that you share and show
When you, the obsolete, rotting dead away,
You can know you have left something here that will ultimatley stay

As Joy said Walter, if nothing else, hopefully we will be remembered for the occasional poem that touched someone, once briefly.  I too feel sort of obsolete.  The thinking man's malady????..

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.
