Dreams...
Soemtimes I wonder if they may be real. Maybe predictions, or recollections, or just meanderings. Still, I had a dream once, and it came true...

          *               *              *

I was walking alone on the beach, or at least
I thought I was alone, about three in the morning
I don't know why I was there, but I was
Then, all of a sudden, a man bolten out from
Beneath the waves and knocked me to the ground.
He was much stronger than I, and kept me pinned      easily.
I couldn't see his face.
"Go ahead, yell, scream.  No one will hear you
And I'll slit your throat."
He then proceeded to rape me.
Then I was screaming, and I woke up.

But my dream was not yet finished with me.
The next night, I was standing beside a grave...
My grave... Looking down into it.
There were a few kids around, trying to see
Who could toss a pebble into a tulip on my casket.
At least, THEY saw a casket.
I looked down and saw my life ... through a grave...
IN a grave... Then, the kids were gone,
And men began to fill the hole.
One of them turned to me and said,
"Hey! You look young and strong, you shovel a while."
Too suprised at the fact that they could actually
See me to argue, I began to fill my own grave.
As the hole filled, it was as if my eyes closed...
Then I woke up, and found myself completely buried
Under the covers.
Other than the fact the dream was unusually vivid,
I had no reason to worry.  After all, dreams
Aren't real, are they?  Who knows?
I do now, as I stand beside the grave,
A shovel in my hand, and my eyes closed.

This was incredible. It has left me lacking in something to say. What could I say to this? But the expression was felt with a shiver.

Oh my gosh Wendy this was terrifying!  I think dreams are intersting too. I have a theory that somtimes you do dream about somthing that will happen.  As my proof 'Deja vu's'  I think we may have dreamnt them before.  I like to think as a reincarnation thing but who really knows?  I really thought this was a great piece of work and I dont think I have seen ne of your stuff before.  I hope to see more !!!!1

Great piece. I get from your words a real sense of strength.
"I began to fill my own grave." This speaks volumes of being able to leave the nightmare, not dream behind and get on with life.

There must be some kinda way out of here... say the joker to the thief

There's to much confusion, I can't get no relief

Thanks to you all.  I'm new here, and this was encouraging.  I hope you will feel free with my other works to give some constructive criticism, etc.  Thanks again.
