Perhaps I'm not so beautiful, Perhaps all you see is fallacy, Perhaps life is a series of charades, And people see only what they want to see. Perhaps I am no Isis, But bitter and twisted underneath, Perhaps I am a loaded weapon, That should be put back in its sheath. Perhaps my spiritual awakening, Is all just fantasy, Perhaps I will never be that person, That I so long to be. Perhaps all this longing, Is early dementia, Perhaps my whole life, Is a night in a haunted house. Perhaps I am not meant to be fulfilled, My only purpose in this world Is for others, No one to whisper sweet nothings to me, snuggled under the covers. Perhaps my life is indeed shrouded in darkness, I will only catch glimpses of the light... Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Wow what a way to be!!!!!!! GIVE GIVE AND GIVE and never receive!!!!!!!!! oooopppps that rhymed maybe you can use it. I thought was a feel good poem for the reader but maybe not to you? hmmm? "Write down what you say if what you say is not written down" (Bojopy) |

Savor what glimpses of light you do catch, Isis. They are precious. For light need not be fleeting to us, lest we choose to let is go from our lives. Exquisitely dark...good poem. Michael |

Isis, I feel abit like a cheater having read your resp on the way down. You have captured that feeling oh so well...showing brightness on the outside-Inside a living hell... Your chosen words are lyrical and lend a note of true beauty...If it was really this dark would that be possible? Perhaps...
