I heard the nightwind whistling through my downpipes,
And I thought I heard you calling,
Could swear it was your loving voice,
Only you could save me when I'm falling.

A nightbird softly trilled a song,
Outside in the cool night air,
Once again I thought it was you,
Showing me you care.

The stars that blink in the nightime sky,
Did you light them all for me?
Did you want me to feel your love,
From far across the sea?

A favourite song I listen too often,
Did you write it just for me?
Did you know what strength and peace it would give me,
When my soul needed to be free?

Maybe it's Karma, fate or hope,
But I swear I can feel you with me,
Holding me in your arms,
My Knight of Olde has saved me.

But alas it's all a dream,
For my kindred and I are seperated by oceans,
Tis so unlucky our reality can't be,
For he sets my heart and soul in motion.

So I shall close my eyes and dream,
That destiny has smiled on me,
And somehow sent me across the sea,
To where my heart is free.

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.

Time has a way of working these things out, Isis.  But just to have found a kindred is a blessing that should not be overlooked.  Best of luck to both of you.

My kindred,
again, you have touched my heart with your writings. . . but Michael is right, at least we have found each other. . . and that is in itself a blessing. . .

Thank you, this is indeed a beautiful poem, your words speak volumes. . . your longing and care show in every word. . . it is nice to see you in this voice. . .

Wonderful. . .

This is beautiful Isis...and I agree with Michael and Sven. Don't give up...only time can tell. I once felt this way too...but I let it go...I'm sure I don't have to tell you this but please don't be as foolish as I was. Sometimes it's a mistake that can never be fixed...

Isis geeeees you can make a man feel.  A quality like that can not go long without love.  I hope you find and encompass this love across the sea!  Wonderful poem....Bojopy

Isis I Loved the title of this poem...it fits so beautifully...it's a wonderful thought that our world could be so special if the right person would just call our name.  James

Love has a way of being far away when we wish it most. Maybe so we will appreciate it even more when it comes. You captured longing wonderfully.
