I love you, so just go away,
And take your happy dreams,
Give them all to someone else who'll make you smile,
Its far too late for me,
I’ll be ok, I have the night,
I think that maybe I’ll just stay here for a while.

Someday, you can visit me,
To see what I’ve become.
Don’t be surprised if you cannot recall my name.
Then maybe you will see,
That when the monster takes its prey,
It's quite disturbing but it’s all part of the game.

So don’t cry, only live your life,
Forget me if you can,
It's time for you to break out of these walls,
And if I see you through the mirror,
I’ll just wave and say hello.
Then I'll sleep and dream of you when darkness falls.

Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative.

Loved this poem especially the line :'And if I see you through the mirror," wonderful thought process there.

I too really enjoyed this. Sometimes I fear that my damaged heart and soul may be too much of a burden for anyone to bear. Maybe they would be better off if I didn't love them. That's the vibe I picked up from this one anyway.

Welcome to Passions!!! What a first poem to present to us. I loved everything about this. Every part of this I can relate too. I even came up with a different way to take it (like talking to yourself) and it seemed to fit also. I hope to read more of your work. Welcome again........Bojopy

I do feel I've found a place to have a voice. I have enjoyed hearing other's voices here as well and look forward to experiencing much much more of this.
