No one or nothing, is as it seems Expectations, are only dreams Walking through life blind, not on alert Walking yourself straight down a road to hurt Can't live with yourself, for what you didn't do Your mind plays tricks, forever haunting you Got no power, like you're in a spell Thought you're so strong, how easily you fell What you thought was different Turns out just the same New players step in line To play again the same old game Many tears ago You pictured how you thought it would be Many tears ago Disappointment wasn't a reality Thought you'd found someone like you But watched it come and go Life was so much easier, Many tears ago |

Wow lostboy! I don't even know what to say. This went straight to my soul. Every single line is the exact description of me. This was wonderful. I think my favorite thus far. |

LostBoy this was wonderful. Many tears ago I was young and at my prime, living life to it's fullest not settling for sublime.. I too felt this was written for me exclusively. Very nice poem. Liked your use of many tears ago instead of many years ago. I often measure time that way. When was the last time I cried, how long did it take me to stop etc! Very nice indeed! Kelly I love the male body, it's better designed than the male mind.---Andrea Newman |
