He is the Silver Brumby,
Running wild on the Snowy Mountains,
Running from man, he'll never be caught,
The spirit of freedom.

She is Golden a tamed cream mare,
Pacing the confines of her enclosure,
Her stallion he calls to her,
Enticing her with the wild and freedom.

Too long she's known the taste of a bit,
Too long she never galloped free across the moors,
Thowra has shown her a taste of the wild,
The King of the Cascade Brumbies, the ghost of evermore.

He came for her one stormy night,
To save her from the bounds of man,
He jumped into her penned enclosure,
And enticed her to follow him when he jumped out again.

She followed willingly,
Freedom within her reach at last,
A lifetime spent with Thowra,
Free of man, the chains from her past.

She leapt the fence and followed him,
Surprised she could jump so high,
But with Thowra she could do anything,
As they ran, the danced with the wind and the sky.

He would teach her everything,
How to walk without leaving a track,
To smell the wind and know what's coming,
She never once feared, or wanted to turn back.

Her wild silver stallion,
With him they'd start a herd,
Hiding in their secret valley,
Where no man could find them, they wouldn't be heard.

A VERY beautiful piece. I love horses. Especially Stallions. So imaginative it kinda makes you picture everything in your mind. Yet another excellent piece from our Mother Isis.

Isis- I loved this too. Imaginative and refreshing. I don't know if you intended it but it is a wonderful metaphor for some of lifes situations. Great work.

Thowra the Silver Brumby are wonderful Australian Children books by Elyne Mitchell.
For the 8 - 12 year olds.  The horses talk and live just like we do, so you shared their lives with them.  I adored them and still do, can't wait to start reading them to my son.
I honoured that love plus tried to put metaphors in there as well spotted Danni!!
Glad you liked this something a bit different
