Stephanie
by
Kari Schmit

like the sun in the sky
she shined like no other
enjoying life as time grew
older and older

like the wind flowing through the trees
her long brown hair flows past her shoulders
soft brown eyes that can look through
you and heal your pain

like the water in the sea
that she so dearly loved
it took away her life
so young and yet so precious

like the earth
which she lays in peacefully
she is one with mother nature
who will take care of her forever

Oh so sad, yet poetically beautiful

Kari its wonderful how you compared  Stephanie's enjoyment with life with the brightness of the sun to show how "she shined like no other" and the way she loved the sea and lost her life to the sea.   Really a heartfelt and a beautiful poem which shows much love and caring and admiration for your friend.  James

It's 3am I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it."
