With all the love at this time of year,
Do you stop and spare a thought,
For those out there not as lucky as us,
Those in hard times who are caught.

The homeless, sleeping outside,
Hungy, cold and alone,
Longing for love and family,
Memories of a loving warm home.

Those who have lonely hearts this year,
Scorned by love in one way or another,
Longing to hear that special voice,
Wondering if they will ever recover.

Those who are sick,
To ill to enjoy Christmas and it's gaiety,
In hospital facing horror daily,
A life steeped in misery.

The poor who want only the best for their family,
But finances don't allow them the honour,
Of placing many presents,
Under a worn and damaged tree.

They are more concerned with having a meal Xmas day,
At least something in their stomachs,
To give them strength,
And keep the cold at bay.

So this poem is for them,
Stop and spare a thought,
Make a small donation,
Do the right thing as we ought.

So when you say grace on Christmas Day,
And you're thanking God for all you have,
Spare a thought and prayer for those,
Who'd give their right arm to have what you have..

Reach inside your heart, that is the greatest gift you can bestow. Merry Christmas..

Amen, my sister! Well done and my prayers will be with those less fortunate.

Amen, Isis.  As sad as this is, I would consider moving it to open for more eyes to view, though.  It truly deserves to be seen by many.   Wonderful message.
