Sitting in Michael's Lap

0 posted 1999-12-23 01:09 AM

The die is cast; the Names are called –
And Tribute given to the wind –
The eyes turned North, East, South and West;
And homage made in kind.

The Sun is dead; the Moon is full –
And Mother languishes in sleep –
The Moon’s bright eyes were burn covetous;
He fain her care would keep.

The whispered words with power hum,
And mystic spirits charge the air –
The Circle crackles with its life,
As hooded forms prepare.

With palms upturned they greet the Night;
Their bodies cleansed, their souls exposed –
Their Centers planted in the Earth –
Their minds unclosed.

In spirit linked, the Four will stand --
Through open gates shall Chaos spill;
Their Wards will weave from formless, form –
And bind it to their will.

A sudden silence snaps the chain –
The charm released to fill its task.
And supplicants to dreams retreat,
Still wearing Shadow’s mask.

Very good Skyfyre. . .

I love the ritualistic setting. . .some dark forgotten ritual. . . chilling. . .

Good work, my friend. . .

This just in - you're good.  No, really I've known it all along,  but I love this ritualistic depiction.  Very well done, Kess.
