LORD DIFLUCAN

Lord Diflucan, honor to you
From hollow pits of shame.
The subtleties you misconstrue
To those who bleed your name.
The anguish of your iron fist,
Blood curdling in my veins.
Picking at the scabbed over wrists
Of life within your chains.

Empower the strong, crush the meek,
Never let it be said.
By you "Blessed are the weak."
For they're already dead.
The torture chamber's echoes fade,
My words, die in the night.
Reality your burning blade,
On my skin, hot and white.

I chance to call your lofty name
Dare put hope to my lips.
Tomorrow lies the quiet claim
Of bleeding fingertips.
The will to live, my misery,
The curse, piece by piece death.
The promise due, pure agony,
Upon my dying breath.

Michael

'Tis a heady and hollow joy in that which you describe my friend.

Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~.
