It's hard to trust these days
It's hard to know true heart
It's difficult to see cruelity
Throughout
Throughout
Maybe I'm not getting it
Is there a reason burried deeper than I can dig?
A reason that makes it a-okay
To tear a soul
Apart?
Apart?
It's hard to see the good
If it is burried so far down
I don't have the time to find it, or the patience.
Hatred close to home
Makes it hard for me to look
To find the true heart waiting
Beating under mounds of loathing, immane dirt.

You expressed your feelings well in this poem joy...it's never okay to tear a soul...great job!

Excellent words Joy,
turst is so hard to come by, but there are some of us who are open and caring. . . but sometimes, you have to tear the soul apart to see what lies underneath. . . and sometimes, it's worth it. . .

Great job describing exactly what I'm thinking now these past few days. Never did I find a true heart. But I hope that you do
