Sitting in Michael's Lap

This well defies depth.

Roiling and foaming, a vast
Ocean sprawling,
And I, like a lemming
To the sea;

Never
Drowning, but
Never surfacing – lungs burning
For air as the oily
Blackness
Curls
Around my brain …

Cast upon
The shore, litter,
Derelict,
Dragging myself forward
As poisoned waves lick
At the heels of my sanity …

A beast
Clutching
Clawing at my soul
And a soft
Voice whispering
All the while:

You are mine,
You are mine!

You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end.

Cool. Right from the opening, this well defies depths, different scenes went through my mind.

This really made me think about so many different angles that you could portray  this.  I really liked it.

Straightforward and beautiful Kess.
Liked very much my friend...can't pick a favorite line,as all are so good
