***I have to explain this one: I just saw my x in a parking lot and he lives 20 min. away so it was kinda weird to see him right there...so i decided to write a poem straight from my mind onto this tablet...if it suxs i'm sorry i just had to let out these emotions****

I saw your car
I cringed in pain
I tried to hide
those feelings i had tamed

But you saw me
and all you could do was snicker
because you have moved on
and found love quicker

Why was I there?
I could have been in a million other places
except fate landed me here
to deal with your many faces

I've been through this myself....
It can be agonizing and hurt-filled...
You expressed this well

Starboards-I to have felt this. It is such an agonizing feeling. You want so bad to be the first one to find new happiness hoping it will make the one who threw you away feel pain and regret. Did that make any sense?
Anyway, this didn't suck at all. I always enjoy something I can connect to.

Danni--
Thanks for your comments, yes it did make sense.  If someone hurts you your first instinct is to hurt them back, but with me this was not the case.  I'm glad that you enjoyed it, and i'm glad there's someone out there that cares. Thanks again!!

I must echo the feelings that have been shared. . . it's a strange feeling to deal with. . .

And I just knew that your instincts would be to not be the first to hurt back. . .

Wonderful poem Starboards. . .

There's some of us out there that do care star, you just read responses from a few, me included.  Good work getting out your instant emotion through your poem.

Ashley hon, in my opinion there was only two things you could've done.  Been indifferent as you were.  OR gone up to him and said hello and how good your life is going at present.   Revenge says the latter I know, but personally I think you did it right.  Let it go you may still have another opportunity.  Besides, it doesn't matter who has a new partner first, that is childish.
You have bettered yourself already by coming here and writing poetry etc.  I'll bet you a million he hasn't improved anything in any way.
As you improve yourself and writing you are achieving something for yourself.  Keeping busy learning new stuff you love, is good for you, interesting etc.
So what do you think of all that, you asked for it, I hate giving advise in typed form feels like I'm lecturing

No, actually i like it when people give me advice on how to act, etc.  I couldnt really have talked to him because he was in another car...which was driving away...which i guess was a good thing...i didnt have to put up with him...and then today I saw his friend...i just want him to be out of my life and for life to stop making him in my life...can you understand?? i hope so. Any advice towards this would be appreciated (anyone...feel free to join in!)

thanks,
Ashley

Starboards,

From all the words of yours I've read. Star is a befitting name for you.

You were bound to cross paths again at some point in time. You are the bigger person in this, because you didn't feel the need to hurt him. Something that will earn you a much greater reward.
