Sitting in Michael's Lap

0 posted 1999-12-13 01:41 PM

Crowds – the shapeless masses
Scowling and writhing and screaming for blood
Leaning forward to listen
As poison pours from twisted lips – a flood
Of protest, for I dared
To insist we all cast shadows when held before the light.
But I was wrong –
The blindfolds admit no evidence of night,
And seeing is believing.

Dreaming in black and white
Of sanctioned things, certain not to offend.
And all is either this or that --
Good or evil, right or wrong -- you need not spend
A moment to reflect on anything.
But search for your reflection in the blank white spire,
And light the pyre that holds my heresy --
Oh hateful glass, renounced and given to the fire,
You held too much of truth!

You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end.

I can fairly feel the venom dripping in this one. It has an incredibly powerful "feel" ( ) to it!

I can understand the meanings hidden within these verses my friend. You have done a wonderful job at getting them acrossed. Love this, not that I have ever heard one of yours I didn't like   .

Excellent Skyfyre!

The passion and the anger come forth from this like a fire that rages inside. . .

Powerful words. . . very good!!
