(Inspired by the movie, Powder)

I have grown weary of the fantasy
living flesh has brought to me

When your unseen features
came to me

Your pallid entry
has given me immeasurable extremity

your legacy has left me
desirable surety

once you were,
a phantom in the dark

a vision
that lingers on my mind

yet you are now
my deepest regard.

There is no more turning back this way
The path is overgrown and strewn with thorns
They've torn the lifeblood from your naked eyes
Cast aside to be forlorn.

Beautiful my friend. . .

You have indeed gotten better. . .
