As I stand on the edge of a river, I trust that it shall remain calm, As I wish to throw my heart upon it, And watch it float down stream. I hope I shall see it another day. Without my heart, I’m but an empty shell. ‘Twas my heart that became to heavy to bear, It had made me love another man It was my weakness So it had to be cut free from my chest Now that I’m free from guilt The river to which my heart flowed upon, Is tainted by the shame of my father. I had betrayed his seed, The life that had made me. So do not judge me by What people say of me, But look into my eyes, And see the man that I once was, The man I hope to become, whole again someday. I wish I had the courage to tell him. |

I agree, this is a powerful piece. I can relate to a heart to heavy to bear. I wish you happiness in life and the courage to be the man you are. By the words you speak I would imagine you are a wonderful person. I don't believe there's any betrayal in being who you are.  |

This was beauitful and so powerful Jenny Love is an attempt at penetrating another being,But it can only succeed if the surrender is mutual. |
