The darkness is my home now
The light has gone away
My eyes cannot see anything
They can't see any pain
But pain cannot be seen, but felt
And I still feel it deep within
Even in the darkness,
It is felt, believed by me,
Fed by me...
So it still lives
Lives in me like a virus
Spreading every day
Until it breaks me down into my own inflicted sickness
The darkness is my home now
The light has gone away
My eyes cannot see anything
But I still can feel,
And the pain...
The awfull pain...
Is much too real.

Fed by me
So it lives....

Really good description of the human condition. Well Done.....

Very descriptive, describing that dark place inside we all have and visit.  Been there, still there at times, know it well.  Bravo Joy

That all encompassing pain is all to real for me too, Joy.  Great poem, I can truly relate.
