Well,
remember when we came here two years ago?
It was just like it is today.
Calm,
     Serene,
Although I remember it being cooler.
There's one more thing I remember,
You were here.

We stepped back in time.
You were the wife,
I was the keeper of the lighthouse,
Making the shore safe.
We were happy.
    We were in love.

As I watch a gull fly off,
I remember when we saw the two.
Perhaps I was that gull,
Wondering where love had flown.

I have always been fascinated with the light house, ever since I read a story by Ray Bradbury telling me what lies behind one..

Good one!

Really liked it .

..........

There is no more turning back this way
The path is ovegrown and strewn with thorns
They've torn the lifeblood from your naked eyes
Cast aside to be forlorn..
