LITHIUM

Oh, Lithium, my tactile dream,
From frown to smile, from smile to scream.
From depths below to Godless highs,
A quelling mellow pent in lies.
Nightmarish life to vision quest,
Dare I trust you more than the rest?
Passing profound such vivid hue
Of reality set in blue.

Oh, Lithium, in wayward glance,
Come to me by the vial of Chance.
The challenge of normality,
Of virtue, of formality.
In hopes to meet Society
On a level preset for me,
I walk in trance, the show begins,
And so Abnormality wins.

That'll mean the most to you when they're gone.

I disagree with Isis. I find many things about you extraordinary which by definition makes you far from the decadent homogenization that is called normality.

You hit this piece home with the last two lines.
Well Done.
