A Tear Named MEMORY...

"And as he turned his back and walked away. The wind whistled as it forced itself through the tattered trees and helped lead the way by pressing firm against his back. The sun slowly sunk to it's nightly resting place, leaving her without a face, a mere silhouette amongst the darkness. He turned to look one last time but she was gone, swallowed by the blackness of night... He knew then that he would never see her again and from that, a tear began to swell in his one eye. Slowly, it ran down his face, along his nose, and over his lips. So softly did it touch his lips, that it reminded him of the how she had once touched him. Finally the tear made it's way over his chin and hung suspended, hanging there for dear life wanting not to fall. Then the inevitable, it fell... But before that tear could hit the ground, he named it! He named it MEMORY, then it hit, dispersed and disappeared! And never, would a tear fall for her again..."

Reminds me of a poem i once wrote about a guy commiting suicide and the thoughts that went through his head

Ah happy memories

Quite exquisite!

I love the title. . ."A tear named Memory"

So often are our tears named for the ones that we love. . .
