I have no muse,
I have no light,
Only darkness and fear,
Please turn off the light.

No one in which to fully confide,
Some thoughts I wouldn't dare share,
They should stay down and hide,
They'd only scare.

Seems I'm destined to be misunderstood,
On the rack, they turn the wheels,
Putrid, swamp I know thee well,
This is my own personal hell.

The heart filled with love to bursting,
Now often is left thirsting,
Inadequacies shadow me,
Perhaps this is my destiny.

No total peace or total soul,
A limited being lacking control,
Losing ground, cannot face,
Another conjecture in this spinning space.

Craving for such understanding,
The gift of unrelenting love and peace,
Knowing I'm understood would be good,
Then these bile filled thoughts would cease.

A limited being lacking control...

Lisa, I shudder for what you face daily, and with so much spirit.

"Destined to be misunderstood"...truly a feeling I share with you. Deeply dark, Isis, very well done.

Personally I like the last stanza...

Many a time we all just wish we oculd just be understood....
GREAT JOB ONCE AGAIN Isis!!

You know my friend...some where there is someone who is willing to take the time to understand. That is the key you know, Sister. Someone that truely cares and will take the time to truely listen.

Well written and very dark indeed.

Isis...while this is indeed dark and brooding......I think we are all left thirsting for things that seem unattainable.
Persevere Warrior Princess...you have enough love to share with many. Just my humble opinon
