It always seems
There is someone
Pulling me down
Into the darkness.
I try to stretch
My wounded wings.
To fly to the light.
Suddenly,
An attack on
A weary spirit.
Nothing is good.
Nothing is right.
As much a tone,
As the words.
Scolded as if a child.
I fall, swirling
Into a bottomless void.
The darkness
Embraces me,
Like a long,
Lost lover.
Squeezing,
Strangling,
The very life
From my
Bruised form.

The darkness can be a demanding lover. . . be careful how you embrace him. . .

Sven....I know the darkness is depanding, that is why I fight it off so much. I perfer the light. I have been trying to write something for Dark for a while now (Because my sister Isis moderates here). I finally finished one...lol. I have had one line written or a stanza.

lostboy.....Thankyou very much and yes my first completed attempt.

Isis...my Sister! Your compliments mean much. Tis very difficult for me to write such gloomy pieces.

AND....
How great to share such wonderful poetry between you two, Isis and Marilyn. What a gift to have in the family.

Joy...Isis is a sister of my soul. We met here a few months ago and have connected like sisters. She lives in Ozzy land and I in Canada. I am blest to have found her.

Thunder...my dear friend... Thankyou for you words and I will take them to heart.

Darkness is not depressing as many would find it

It is a release

All aggression can be released all your hate and anger focused and expressed through poems

(check a few of mine they can be quite horrific and i don't consider myself to be that strange)

Walter...Yes it is a release. I just hate holding on to it long enough even to write about it.

JennyLee....Thankyou

captaincargo....I shall never forget....it is too dangerous to do so.

Michael...You flatter me Sir...*blushing*
