they came today
the men of red
Men of mars they were
from way up there

we were all happy
everyone smiling
haveing a party shouting
Rushing back and forward

Daddy and mummy
looked up to the sky
And reached up
Smiling

All the street were out
playing music
watching Red rockets
And Fancy Shinies dancing

The skies burned for days
As they went whoosh and zoom
All around they went
Until they stopped over me

I was so happy i reached up
To touch the magic light
Like Santa and Tinkerbell together
The light fell on me and the darkness came

Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace,
of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd

Your poem is great. It has left me with a great feeling inside me , that I can't quite explain.

I had a completly opposite reaction...i felt a feeling of terror like you were so happy to touch those things but they suddenly turned against you..scary!! sorry if this is a wierd way of looking at it!!
