When at night I close my eyes,
I look back on another day,
I feel the pain of a heart that cries,
what no words could ever say.

Have I chosen the wrong path,
Should I have walked behind my heart,
will this journey ever end,
before I fall apart?

God grant me the strength,
to forget what's now gone,
I pray for this each night,
just show me how to move on.

Welcome to Dark Passions!! I hate the moments you've depicted in this poem, looking back on another day that seems wasted, and all you can do is want to cry. Well done

Very well done. I battle with these feelings every day, trying to keep my head above water.

It's extremely hard moving on! But i agree, keep your head above water and you'll make it someday!

Stevia, It takes much time and lots of thinking to move on... all you can do is try to look back and realize what it is you learned from what happened. What was the purpose for it? It meant something to you, but figuring out what is what will make it move from the "sad and lost" to the "lived and learned" part of your life Hang in there!!

First I must say welcome to PASSIONS Stevia.....
I think most of us have been in your shoes and have asked of the same thing. Always remember that unbeknownst to us we have an inner hidden strength that we tend to overlook to help us and give a little guidance in times such as those you speak of.

I agree with everyone else so far, keep your head up and a brighter time is just up ahead,
around the corner,
waiting just for you.

Keep smiling and be strong. :~}
