In the space between moments

0 posted 1999-11-19 11:29 PM

Eerie calmness slowly descends,
As a lone voice delivers silence.
Scathing wounds no one mends,
The spirit of vengeance grows tense....

Roaring winds begin to rise,
Sweeping down upon vulture wings.
I see the blackness in the eyes,
And the melody of death now sings....

Molten fury taken to the sky,
As a fiery tempest rips the night.
Beginning as the devil's sigh,
Progressing into a whirlwind flight....

Innocence is cruelly shattered,
Drowning in a blood laced wave.
Coherent thoughts are scattered,
We know we cannot be saved....

Blinding pain quickly strikes,
Surging through our tattered souls.
Destroying old and young alike,
Enraged anger now taking it's toll....

Now settled is the choking dust,
And scarlet streams washed away.
Like most, this was a war unjust,
Within us the scars will forever stay....

Oh, this is so VIVID.....I don't believe I've ever seen you post in Dark before, so- Welcome to the Dark side.

I envisioned the earth's crust being torn apart by huge devils, creating a terrible war between the righteous and the evil, (perhaps the apocalypse??)

Great work.

Well, Krista, I do so wish you'd post here more often. You were the Dark beautifully.

This was Beautifully Written. So Very Dark and VIvid.  Great Job is lacking in how excellent this poem is.

To me this is the love soul being torn apart by ?? our lost loves.
And like my friends, great is too little of a word to use here.
How about one big HHHHHOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLLLL.
And welcome back. Please stay and play.

you have an obvious talent. This piece captivated me. Hope to see more.

The words that come to me here fail me elsewhere.
Mute.
Made dumb by my own thoughts.
Tonguetied and awkward.
Tripping over my own voice.
A pen and paper for my voice.
