Screams of terror never heard, Broken wings, red-breasted bird, Bound to bed-post, child defiled, Father dearest, sin reviled, World's Greatest Dad, t-shirt read, Upon stained sheets, childhood bled, Tears ran dry, locked bedroom door, Flight of robin, nevermore. Questions asked as justice sought, Were the answers all for naught? Life in prison, court enraged, Mourn the robin, evermore. Locked in prison til he dies? Nevermore the robin flies, No good Bastard, I scream why? Evermore for robin cry. Got a Habeas Corpus motion today. Resurfaced some old memories. |

Could you please deliver this Dad to my doorstep so I can kick him in the face?? I have nothing but disgust and hatred for such people...... So sorry, Mike, but this poem, I must say, was exquisitely done, very beautifully woeful.... ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |
