Enable me to stand
for I have fallen to my knees.
God in heaven, do you hear me?
Help me please.

I have reached the bottom of the rope
no longer can I hold.
I am tired of this worry
and I’m feeling very old.

I know I should continue
and try to carry on.
But I’m tired, do you hear me?
And my energy is gone.

I know I have but me to blame
I let it get this bad.
Just to make it to this point
has taken all I had.

I’m feeling sorry for myself
I’m wise enough to know.
And I’m sorry if I let you down,
but I am letting go.

Forgive me for I couldn’t seem to
fight this and succeed.
I watch sadly as the last of hope
escapes me as I bleed.

I hope this is one from the writers soul and you are not experiencing this desperation.

Wonderfully written.

I have reached the bottom of the rope
No longer can I hold...

So many times...

This is superb.

We have all been there hon. Honestly. Hope the poem was somewhat of a release for you. Stand up again, repowder your hands, grasp the rope again firmly, and start climbing.
