Standing stark and bold
Against the cold
Her arms reach ever skyward

Her balance found
In frost tipped ground
Her clothing cast around her

She's beautiful
She's magical
With Sol's rays streaming through

The morning sun
When night is done
Calls her perfect frame to view

I sit with her
And dream strange dreams
Beneath her twisted limbs

Her power and grace
Her soaring height
Call to mind ancient hymns

It's odd this desire
I have for her
But I've hurt worse from other

She loves me still
With unchanging will
She is my earth-wrought Mother.

I've never heard a tree described so beautifully.
