Inspired by, and written for a sick friend.

Her face grows still sweeter as years drift on
Love becomes deeper, Mem'ries more fond
A balance for tears, in my dreams I have found
And a lack of a true love, truly abounds
The light we were sharing is now dark and cold
Except in my mind's eye, where it still burns so bold
My heart beats so hungry, my bloodflow all spent
To keep fresh this lost love, from dreams to me sent
Her figure perfection, flesh milky-white
And deep-sea green eyes that capture all light
Sweet auburn tresses caressing my face
When locked in her precious frame's warm embrace
Now she is gone, and try as I might
To share her forever, I must die tonight.

For You CT, Get well soon.

DB

A tinge of the Romeo and Juliet concept. To love someone enough to die for them is powerful, indeed. Nice touch.
