A drug induced fantasy, Sometimes I long to be stoned again, Each daily ritual seen through a different hue, So many changes since the days back then. For me at least music becomes an entity, Iam part of it and it of me, It's soothing sounds caress the soul, Pink Flloyd the only music when stoned you be. It enhanced all feelings and emotions, I loved harder, laughed harder and cried harder, Even the odd little freak out, Thinking of those days gone past I am a little sadder. I don't smoke dope anymore now, I'm all grown up you see, But I can't help but wonder, Do drugs enhance the things that be? ------------------ Through poetry my heart and soul truly sing... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

The high's of yesterday are long gone and mostly forgotten. Gone are the days of 15hr trips. Chris and I were just talking of this the other day...About how some things are more evident to us during periods of intoxication. While I in no way condone drug use, I could not dispute the "enhanced" perception of things while under the influence. I think we are accessing normally dormant brain cells during these periods, problem is we are probably killing them off just as fast. Thanks for bringing back the old days. Michael |
