How can this be wrong?
such a beautiful thing
how can love be damned?
to cut deep and sting

Something so good
at the same time so painful
I long for the feeling
even though I am shameful

I should have learned
from experience past
that something so perfect
could never last

I just yearn for someone
to take me away
steal my life in my sleep
please take me, I pray

This torture and longing
intensity never drops
my heart is still beating
please let it stop

I should have known
yet still I do try
my love freely shown
yet more of me dies

When will I learn
to close myself off?
protect my pure heart
from feelings aloft?

Barrel at my chin
then the truth to arise
it's just wishful thinking
from this there's no prize

I would never do it
it's not what was meant
but boy it feels good
one squeeze and I'm sent

So yet I live on
wondering what pain comes next
are good things still coming?
I'm trying my best.

Nice style, kYsS.
Your words strike me.

September 30, 1659. I, poor, miserable Robinson Crusoe, being shipwrecked, during a dreadful storm in the offing, came ashore on this dismal unfortunate island, which I called "the Island of Despair," all the rest of the ship's company being drowned, and myself almost dead.

Your words, they struck a chord with me as well, in this present state of mind I'm in.
Well done, and I think yes, the wrong love is damning........

Is love really damned? Well, I think we may never know the answer to that question. The question I have is,"Are we all damned to love?" Good poem, Thunder.

Isis... Thank you much... I think the same, I hope your mood passes soon

S.D.... Know the feeling Some love is, anyways lol

Michael... You are right, we may never know. I think sometime in our lives, yes, we will all be "damned" to love. Thank you, Michael, for your input.
