STILL

The world keeps on passing by,
As I'm left standing still.
For I am only looking back,
But then, I always will.

The sun goes down, the lights turn on,
The air about grows cold.
When morning breaks comes with the dawn,
More stories to be told.

And everyday the stories change,
Yet one remains the same.
It always makes me wonder why-
Fire burns worse when it loses the flame.

Is there no way to bring it back?
No way to rekindle a spark?
The light that shines for me is out,
I now live my life in the dark.

When morning breaks the sun comes out,
But the air around me stays cold.
And there's one story that'll never change,
It won't die, and it won't grow old.

The world keeps on passing by,
As I'm left standing still.
For I am only looking back,
But then, I always will.

Fear is overcomable, life is fleeting.
Dreams are reachible, love completing.

Elegantly painful, D.O.
I was wondering if you'd ever come back.

Glad you did.

Michael
