That place with padded walls and funny people in white.........

The predators eyes
Shimmer as he waits
Diamonds in the darkness
Following his prey

It's a little lamb
Young and innocent
Unknowingly he strolls
Thinks nothing of repent

This infuritaes the carnivore
It really makes him mad
Even though the little lamb
Has done nothing bad

"He will bow before me,
I will make him pay,"
The vicious animal calls out
"Come here little lamb, let's play."

The trusting lamb comes over
He knows nothing of fear
He peers into the bushes
There is a whisper in his ear

"Ungrateful sinner,
Your time here is done"
The little lamb squeals in pain
As the beast has its fun

Thanks everyone for your replies. Jenny, this is actually one of the first poems I ever wrote. Of course I had to modify it a bit, because most of my early poetry sucks.

Maybe your earlier poetry doesn't suck after-all

I'd find it hard to believe that, early or of late, anything you put out here "sucks."
You have the Muse's touch to all you do.
