LOVE LESSONS

What wondrous Agony teaches,
Misery so sweetly preaches,
Time and Destiny beseeches...
Love is hope, but hope's a lie.

The beatitude's etched in stone,
"He who stands strongest, stands alone."
To bleed is to forsake thine own,
To succumb to need, to die.

Umbrageous righteousness,
Before her throne's belightedness,
Celebrated nearsightedness,
The fallacies of Sanctity.

In clutched fistfuls of slipping sands,
Held so tragic with wretched hands,
Raven magic misunderstands...
Her torrents of trickery.

She rises from ashes, a myth,
Play with, lays with, and decays with...
Aspiration, standing idly by,
A look of loss across the eye.

Divine as Grace, as pure as light,
Her pleasure becomes our delight.
She is the morn, she is the dawn,
She is the star we wish upon.

A hand to hold in our grieving,
Facing tomorrow believing...
In prayer, in wish, in dream, in sigh,
Love is hope - but hope's a lie.

Well said, is love therefore a lie? If so, I have no desire to come to my senses just yet. I choose to turn a blind eye to that particular lie. Well met and exceeded my friend.

"No man is an island...no man stands alone" We each need each other.If love is hope and hope is a lie, than each day we die a little more.I live in hope that tomorrow will be a better day.Strength in unity as they say.I like this one very much.

Well they say that ignorance is bliss, and I believe that to be true. So I am going to tune out the message of "Love is hope, and hope is a lie" so that I can be ignorant to it. But seriously its a great poem, and that line makes you think.
