Tonight of all the nights
Weary from the hardest fights
Seen on the stormiest nights
Guaranteed to give the frights

Alone in the house
Feeling caged like a mouse
Wandering from room to room
Shrouded in the blackest gloom

Thinking of things best forgotten
Love and hate, the misbegotten
Memories seem to glow
Panoramic in their show

Remembering each and every blow
All to my heart if you must know
Wondering how it came to be
The glorious times of you and me

Knowing in my heart
You weren't mine from the start
Yet holding you close each night
Letting you go in the morning light

Knowing that the day would come
When we would no longer be one
Times will change and so must I
Just one more thing before I die

Smile each day and think of me
Try to be all that you can be
I wish you all the very best
My legacy this request

Set you heart free and your mind will follow.

Wonderful work, Dragoness. Your work has a sweet flow to it.

I could not love except where Death
Was mingling his with Beauty's breath -
Or Hymen, Time, and Destiny
Were stalking between her and me.
