He watches from lofty heights
Awaiting you to give a fright
Blood tip talons red rimmed eyes
His next meal for he'll size

Prays on the weak and fair of heart
Rending to pieces is just the start
From the bowels of Hell is where he came
Ah your death is all but a game

Under the bed, or closets he resides
In dark corners is where he hides
He blends so well with the night décor
Waiting the time to even the score

You'll not know he's even there
He'll just slither out from his lair
So keep your toes well in your bed
Or before you know it you'll be dead.

Gargoyles and Griffins are at is command
Children's hearts his only demand
So mothers make sure you tuck them in tight
Just in case he's at your house this night.

Ahhh...the idyllic monsters under the bed and the bogeyman behind the door.

Wonderful imagery, Dragoness. I do look forward to more works from you.
