The monster within me that cries for release.
The demon comes to my dreams when I sleep.
She eats at my soul but is rarely appeased.
Counting the promises I didn’t keep.

Haunting the darkness with her bitter cries.

Measuring the weight of my truths to my lies.

Haunting the darkness with her bitter cries.
She reminds me of hearts that I trampled in vain.
Measuring the weight of my truths to my lies.
And bringing my faults to the surface again.

The men that I hurt and the hearts filled with hate.

Letting me know that "I’m sorry" comes to late.

The witch that’s inside used her feminine wiles.
