Your angel's wings opened wide as you cast a blinding light,

I gasped for breath, I couldn't believe in such a beautiful sight.

My eyes are bright, my breathing's still deep, you could never understand how much you mean to me.

You're the bearer of my heart, you hold the only key, there's no other I'd want to take that responsibility.

Years have gone by, I look to the sky, your wings are gone and there's red in your eyes.

You turn your back and as you slip away, you tell me our love was all fun and play.

With Heaven comes angels, with love comes pain, that's when the Lord sends the rain.

My pain hurts so much, I just wait for the last breath--the last breath of my slow and painful death.

Your last breath is not close
in fact so far away
you're facing your fears
and they're fading away
Soon they'll be memories
in your life passed
never quite gone
but you'll free them at last
Believe me I know this
and soon you will too
you will be stronger
more certain and true
Your Life's just beginning
there's sunshine in store
your dark cloud will leave you
you'll beg life for more
