When I am dead, my dearest,
Make me a part of your body.
Tattoo my words on your memory,
My name on your arm.
Through you I shall see the shadows
Through you I shall feel the rain.

When I am dead, my dearest,
Go to the river where we knelt
That dark dawn and tasted
Salt on each other's lips.
Look at the pulsing water, the
Flickering stone bed, the baby fish.

When I am dead, my dearest,
Don't die with me! I am the wind now,
Cooling your neck at night.
If you wake, and feel me
Touch your warmth, whisper your
Love into the dark.

I guess I'll have to step into the darkness more often. Thanks DE for giving me that URL. I didn't realize the caliber of talent in here!
severn- this tells me that when you die, you really wont, because you will live on in memory if not body.
Well done girl!

SHOCK HORROR!
This isn't my work!!!!
This is my friend's - we use the same computer occasionally and she musn't have changed to her passwords - Seaangel must take all the credit. She's a damn good writer. But, heh, thanks for the invitation Michael - I'm tempted to post here myself!!!!
