I never liked this poem - I'm posting it in honor of Bad Poetry Day today - it was a challenge (use the phrase 'beating pots and pans')..........

Throwing glasses, spilling wine
a big dish shattering over there
beating pots and pans on the counter
then slamming down a broken chair.

The child lay huddled
‘neath the table by the door
hoping to escape the rampage
as glass shattered on the floor.

His mommy was quite angry
she told him she’d had enough
and that was why she raged on
and broke all their kitchen stuff.

When she had stopped and gone to bed
He waited til she was asleep
then cautiously he crept to bed
another memory to keep.

So, your gonna dump all this "Bad Poetry" on my forum, huh? (snickers). Seriously this touches a memory I've kept for many years,
I'm glad you posted it here. Not bad at all.
