~*~

I won't assume, or point my finger
nor will I explain myself or offer information
that doesn't concern you.
I've no desire to ease drop on a party line,
or contribute my two cents
that bears no significance.

He said, she said, oh brother;
time to take a stand,
it's a big bad world out there,
deal with it.

I have no walls to come tumbling down,
not anymore.
I burned my bridges a long time ago
and made the same mistake twice.
I'm human, if that makes you feel better.

But I'm not about to plug the empty holes in your poetry,
I've got my own binder and beliefs on the subject.
It's true, I keep notes,
here's a little something for you.

For the first time in my life
I don't have to answer to anyone
and I won't pass judgment or be questioned,
then wrongly accused
assuming I'm guilty of a virtual crime.

By all means I live my life
private enough, to suit my needs
a prisoner in my own mind
by choice, perhaps.
But a part of me dies every time,
when you break my heart down to size.
Locking up all of my tears.

Lori sings the blues
only a different tune
to be heard this time

Blues puts the word out!

Sing it girl, you've got the voice ~~ and mean every word, because you know.

Lori,  stick by your choices....it is your
life, and you lead it...no one else does.
And anyone who thinks otherwise can kiss some
grits...for sure....

It is hard sometimes to stick to our choices because, being human, we can forget so very easily all the bad times.  We simply have to stop and remember and carve another life as best we can.  You take care, Bluesy girl!

One ringy dingy, two ringy dingy...it's the party line calling. Is this the party to whom I'm speaking?

I'd say all the cards are on the table. Love ya'.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
