candy coated rocks
with sticky shimmer
underwater looking

in the desert there
by no leaf trees
where their makeup

was pitted
from the wind
that walked in

in high heel shoes
and made sink hole prints
on sunday mornings

before the dawn
turned on her miner's lamp
and looked for the gold

of a sunrise yawning
and the songs too
on the radio

I remember them
how their grooves were full
of melted vinyl

not yet thought as words

Dark Stranger,
I think this is the first time I've read one of yours.  It took me for surprise the first reading it so I read it several times more finding that I liked it a lot.  Enjoyed

sometimes we are blessed with such a feeling that life just doesn't get any better, and that makes the not so good times seem all that more signficant.

When I was little, and something bad would happen, my mom would tell me, it's just life's nature, helping to make you stronger.

Smiles and hugs...good one.
